Evan is a Math 140 tutor studying Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. He is involved with State of State and Movin’ On committees. Every fall, Evan also participates in one of Penn State’s greatest traditions: the Blue Band. It is a serious time commitment, but Evan is very passionate about music and playing his trombone. While away from the classroom, you can probably find Evan playing his synth, attending a concert, or looking for new artists to get into. He loves math because it is a discipline that is deeply satisfying to comprehend and apply. Tutoring gives him the opportunity to instill this understanding in people. Evan is always eager to help and looks forward to every review!
Sierra is a math tutor for MATH021, MATH022, and MATH140. She is pursuing a bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering with minors in Applied Mathematics and Architectural Studies. She’s been tutoring math since high school and tutors kids/teenagers at home as well. She’s from Northern Virginia, right outside Washington D.C. Outside class, she loves to spend time with friends, watch Netflix, and read!
Jordan is a tutor for Math 140 and Math 251 studying Computational Data Sciences, with minors in French and Math. He grew up in King of Prussia, about 30 minutes out of Philadelphia. Jordan enjoys walking students through complex problems. He is involved with THON, both on a committee and as his fraternity’s THON chair. In his free time, he likes to play racquetball and work out, and he is an avid Phillies fan.
Marc is a Math 140 tutor studying Biomedical Engineering with a Biochemical focus. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he is very familiar with the disappointment that comes with being a die-hard Philly sports fan. Aside from tutoring, Marc works in a Biochemical Lab, investigating the viral replicase of the Zika and West Nile virus. He aspires to obtain his Ph.D. in BME and eventually become a research professor.
